Carnforth

Four lonely hashers turned up at the station car park in Carnforth.  The hares Lurch and the Judge explained the dodgy trail they had set up for us (down-downs already sensed for the hares!).

No more cum, the Accused, Pick me up and the Confessor trotted off over the railway bridge heading towards Warton.  The first check was straight forward thankfully as we were sent off to the left towards the shore and No more cum ran off into the distance.  We were taken across the marshes next to the river Keer and started to get worried as we got closer to the channel!

Next check was a choice between the road or the marshes so No more cum did the road and the Confessor did a check on the marshland but the road was the correct route so No more cum ran off again FRB!  Next run he must run with a heavy rucksack.

The Confessor re-grouped temporarily with the Accused and Pick me up and jogged or was it walked along a very long road with the distance shout of 'ON ON' from No more cum.

We all finally re-grouped just over a railway bridge at check No. 5 (the dodgy one apparently!), well with two arrows pointing in the same direction towards a junction way ahead definitely qualifies as a dodgy check point.  No more cum returned after finding a false trail and the Confessor backtracked after a flour trail stopped but in the end turned out to be the correct route doh!  Never mind we had a picturesque tour of some gardens!

Down the ginnel we went eventually following the flour trail.  The FRB had raced off yet again and was found wandering around the main road coming from the Carnforth direction.  The Accused and Pick me up caught up and the trail was found again which took us on to the canal.  This is where the 'ecologically sound' flour fails, it blends in with the towpath!

Back to walking pace now and another lesson in horn blowing for the Confessor from Pick me up.  Next exciting part of the run a playground with a checkpoint!! The Accused was following shortly behind, No more cum well what can you say, just anti-social. We never saw him again till we got back to base.  Back on to the towpath with a check which took us on to a bridge but then pointed back down on to the towpath.

The trail finally left the canal in what seemed the middle of nowhere and through a housing area and finally back over the A6 in Carnforth back to the station car park.

Down-downs were given to the Confessor for finding the right trail but letting the group continue on a false trail! No more cum for sprinting ahead, the hares for some dodgy checks and Pick me up for wearing the most creased Hash t-shirt!
