Anna's Ghyll - BBQ

Fortunately the heavy shower had cleared by the time we met up at Bull Beck Car Park. White noise said that she had got soaked to the skin, setting the trail a couple of hours earlier and Off his Trolley had to keep an eye on us for a while, making sure that his flour piles were still visible after the rain.

Once we were on the right track we were enjoying some very nice countryside, up hills, through fields and generally circling the Brookhouse area.

Unfortunately this was my first run for some time so after running initially for about 10-15 minutes and especially once I got talking I ended up slowing down.  Myself and Fur Coat had a very long yarn, covering all sorts of topics so I can definitely admit to in being the "knitting circle" but we eventually lost sight of the rest of the pack.  We knew we were homeward bound to White noise and Off his Trolley's house for the BBQ so just had to make the last bit up.

Once we arrived back everyone formed a circle and White noise and Off His Trolley had down downs for being the hares.  Then Twisted, myself and Feels on wheels had down downs for appearing to be ashamed to be hashers through not wearing garish enough gear.  Finally Baldbrick had a down down for purposefully not being at the front of the pack just to avoid the checking.

Then the BBQ commenced and after changing out of our wet footwear etc we all got a drink and started sizzling our steaks, sausages and burgers.  Ruth had done us some nice salads to compliment and a choice of three lovely deserts.  The weather stayed fine and it was a very pleasant evening sat outside with the patio heater and a very full bright moon.  It was so enjoyable that I could have stayed longer but I had had my limit of alcohol and had to drive home so I had to leave the rest of the party animals to it.

Many thanks to White Noise and Off his Trolley for a very enjoyable evening.
