The burp run.

Warton repeated.

Hare Sir Tom Toms old schoolmaster technique of repeating last year’s subject without the slightest change was brought into use for this hash.

Expecting a much depleted field and having no volunteers for hare on this occasion a previously set run was repeated (burp!) without a single change, this would not have been of any consequence if the route had been reversed as given the navigation skills of the runners attending I am sure no one would have noticed, but, ever the stickler only a traditional clockwise round would suffice for Sir Tom Tom so those of us that had completed the route previously had to pretend not to know the way. Was FB really pretending?

The run was set well and was through beautiful woodland countryside up hill and down dale much appreciated by our overseas guest from mother hash Kowloon Hash House harriers.

The hash name of our guest is far too rude to print here so we shall call him Free F, Free F was most pleased to see LVH3 still going strong after all these years. KH3 is an all male hash (they were the days!) but Free F was also accompanied by his wife a member of the Wanchai H3. Another guest/occasional runner gracing us with his presence was Simple which with Bubbles , Forever blowing and Highway brought the running contingent to 6 not quite our lowest number for a run but given weddings, holidays, nash hash etc was fair enough.

Like the rest of us our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day which provided almost two hours of great running followed by on inn at the George Washington providing cheap plentiful food and an excellent range of beers. Burp!

Down downs were given to all and sundry (burp!) including an overly interested onlooker who under interrogation admitted to having previously hashed in a different life.

Thanks STT for getting up early to set the run in the rain – we stayed dry and had a great time. See you all next hash.
