On a lovely sunny Easter Saturday afternoon the hens and roosters of LVH3 flocked together eggsitedly for The Easter Egg Run and a warm welcome was eggstended to Devonian visitors Jailer and Meavy Maid from South Hams Hash. Route eggsplanations were hatched and shelled out by hares Upperskirt and Major Twit and many yolks were cracked as the brood set off sunny side up to eggsplore free range and were egged on by the eggsitement of finding ten hidden Easter Eggs!

The rambos were eggsultant in finding the first few. But after three wimp / rambo splits and us local poultry wimps taking a short cut (many being on familiar scratching ground) we became FRB’s. This however turned out to be an eggscrutiating disappointment as we missed the chance to find three more eggs. All was not lost as uneggspectedley hot chick White Noise showed the rest of us a clean pair of heels at the thought of chocolate nearby - but alas her hopes were smashed when Darth Vader eggspertly found the hidden egg, with ruffled feathers and not to be outdone on she sped to the next one where with eggstatic smile on her beak she eggshumed the eggsclusive egg!

Back then to the On Inn where down downs were whisked out to hare Upperskirt (Major Twit had eggscaped early), the visitors, the short cutters (most of the clutch) and some others - these must not have been any eggseptional eggsploits as I can’t remember who or what for! Then off to the pub for most of the brood for a good crow and a peck two.

An eggscellent run where we fried our best to find the eggspensive eggs, scrambled up and down, boiled in the Easter sunshine and were coddled with mini eggs and peanut cookies – now there’s a good reason for me to make less eggscuses and return to the nest to eggerscise more oft’hen’ with LVH3!

Enough of my eggscentric clucking, on on …………….
