This was our 8th visit. We also visited on...

The Marton Arms is well known for it's varied selection of cask conditioned hand pulled beers.

Up to 15 pumps of Beers, Ales and Ciders. Ranging from the delicately flowery light beer that just takes your breath away, all the way through to the heavier more robust brews that can take your legs away.

Thornton-in-Lonsdale - STT's ante diem decimum kalendas Augustas R*n

What a star we have in STT! Dragging himself from his sick bed to hare for us, because some other hare who shall remain nameless has no wheels. We have to forgive him for taking us across the border to Yorkshire again as it was a lovely route with views of the 3 Peaks - luckily we didn't go up them -although Group Sax was determined to find flour on a check that looked suspiciously like we were heading that way!

A big pat on the back for the hare laying long checks at last - but he couldn't resist himself with the multitude of arrows scattered on every stile!

It was a day of reporting motor breakdowns - 2 in the last month for the MTs, B&T being shamed into driving round in a drug dealers car while their fault is diagnosed and poor Hugo not making it 3 miles from Brookhouse and dumping his cargo of hounds for other hashers to collect.

A solid pack of Rambo Harriettes completed the lengthy split, safe from the frisky bullocks we had been warned about, and were welcomed down from the hills by the all male knitting circle!

Down Downs for impatient Twisted - who was made to wait so long for her DD that she started singing it herself, the fashionably attired Bitter with his new Man Bag and the usual trail foulers.

On on to STT's 2nd consecutive attempt at haring in Yorkshire for the August Full Moon
