This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
Registration at The Black Bull went well with most hashers arriving well before 9:00pm. Before long the whole pub became a melly of yellow as all the shirts got distributed. Lots of catching up with old hashers (ok less of the old!) and some bonding of newly-met hashers took place and the pub soon had a buzzing atmosphere. Everyone was commenting on the fabulous programme that our very own little Cum Yak Yak had drawn impromptu at a bleating one evening. Lots of chat about this being the fourth weekend on the trot for some extremely keen hashers after Glasgow, Quorn and Essex.
MOST hashers then assembled for the first short run of the weekend, some groans could be heard - running?! Surely not, we're only here for the beer! But before long all but a very small few set off down the road following the trail around the scenic Crook O'Lune to a short beer stop then back up over the hill to the On Inn. "You call this a short run?", could be heard as hashers came panting back up the hill! What's in store for tomorrow then?
The circle was assembled in the pub car park, courtesy of our very friendly landlord and down downs were awarded to the hares and the missing hashers - Mouldy and Wino to name but two. The partying continued on all evening and beyond as folk got acquainted and re-acquainted with old friends.
