This was our 4th visit. We also visited on...
In the aftermath of our lovely sunny 111 run, this 114 run in Aughton can only be described as the 'Wet Wet Wet' run. It was set in fine weather by Major Twit and Upperskirt, assisted by their doting partners Minor T**t and Baldbrick, then when all three of the runners turned up (Thankyou Fugitive Nipple, White Noise and Off His Trolley), the heavens opened.
The time setting a rambo split had not been wasted as Nipple was keen to run off on his own (No change there!), and the other two went for a nice stroll around the wimp trail. Keen to be sociable, Upperskirt and Major Twit decided to walk the trail backwards to meet up with the others, but got about half way round and met up with our resident 'sheepdog', Minor T**t, patrolling the route in the "Barkbuster mobile", ostensibly to show concern for the cold, wet, runners, and ask if they wanted a lift back (Or was he making the most of an opportuntiy to advertise?!).
Anyway, they were cold, wet but happy to carry on, so we got the lift back (Wimps!). Sheepdog Steve had to point runners in the right direction once or twice as the rain had very kindly washed our trail away. But despite the bad conditions the run was enjoyed by all, and the circle (or should we say Triangle, by the time the 4 hares were in it and the other 3 round the outside!) was quite short as we were getting wetter and wetter.
The On Inn should have been the Red Well but as some people hadn't brought dry clothes, we all went back to Brookhouse, got dry, and enjoyed the rest of the evening in the Black Bull.
