This was the first run to take place in the evening - and probably the last until next year. We all gathered together at the Post House Hotel car park near J34 and welcomed 3 new virgins from Brookhouse, Gary, Maggy and Jossie and another 2 colleagues of Slackbladder and No more cum,  Phill and Stretch.  We also welcomed Siobhan for the first time (need to find  Hash names here). Bubbles and No more cum told of their adventures at Nash Hash, unfortunately they both seemed to have been too intoxicated to be able to remember much about what happened.

After welcoming the new hashers we set off along the bank of the Lune under the M6 and onwards towards Halton. Here there was a very helpful sign left by the hares showing which way to get to Halton and to Caton. On-On appeared to be either swimming across the river or across the bridge, everyone chose the bridge. At the other end of the bridge there was the first Wimps/Rambo's split. Being a macho type of guy I chose the Rambo route where I lost all the other Rambo's at the first check - I'm sure that there was no back check on the false trail I took. I managed to find the trail through Halton with the help of some locals - "they went that way!". Eventually I managed to catch up with the rest of the pack after running along some very picturesque paths by the side of the river.

Very soon we all came to the second Rambo/Wimp split, again I took the tough decision and we headed up Holme Lane towards Brookhouse where we were rewarded with beer at Slackbladders house. After this I was expecting a nice easy stretch towards the end, however the Hares had other ideas and we ended up on a tour of Caton & Brookhouse including kneeling at the Altar at Bubbles house.

Eventually we made it back to the on-inn which was me & Pick me up's house, where Pick me up  (with some help from me and Forever Blowing) had prepared some Chilli. A good run.
