On Inn - Anglers Arms, Haverthwaite

Image of Anglers Arms, Haverthwaite

This was our 1st visit. We also visited on...

Ten real ales served in a convivial atmosphere brings customers from near and far to the Anglers Arms, which stands in the heart of Haverthwaite, 200 yards off the A590 and a short distance from Ulverston.

The real ales come from a variety of breweries, including Moorhouses, Hawkshead, Copper Dragon, Black Sheep. I think that this is the best variety that you will get in the area.

Haverthwaite - Duddon Valley Weekend

It was very hot, we were tired and/or hungover, but we were met by a bouncy, fresh, long-legged hare.  We were understandably worried about what Nipple had in store for us!

Speaking as a wimp through and through - we were alright Jack, a wonderful route with views of steam trains, lakes, tarns, woods and more head high bracken. I gather the rambos were given more of a challenge - but they needed it to sweat out all the beer from the last 2 nights!

Thanks Nipple - you finished the weekend off perfectly - complete with an aquatic circle which was very memorable. Timed to perfection we got back to the pub 20 minutes before they started serving dinner and the sun was still shining.

See you all next year at Duddon
