This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
We all gathered at the public car park in Bentham. It seemed an unlikely place to start a run. We parked the cars amid a few chavs hanging out in an urban wasteland.
Our hares informed us at some length all about the run and the various changes they had to make. Angry farmers with guns, nettles etc.
My mobile went off twice during the circle!! Now I know why I always leave it at home.
So on on past the pub and out of Bentham over the railway. We cut across some fields and were soon out in open country.
The run took us eventually on to the moor. Views were amazing with beautiful colours of the sunset over the fields and moorland. It felt a million miles away from the pressures of work.
The rambos had a good run over the moor and beyond. The rest of us headed back to the road and down the long hill back into Bentham.
A sneaky rambo split towards the end of the run took the eager few down by the river along a muddy path in almost darkness. The rest of us enjoyed the sight of the golden harvest moon and got stuck in to a few beers.
Down Downs for me, of course, for mobile phone use. Can't remember any others.
Overall a fantastic weeknight run from virgin hare wobblyhooker and furcoat. A good length and well marked.
Congratulations to antiseptic for 100 runs.
So on inn to the pub till next time.
