Having got really engrossed in the latest goings on in Ambridge, we were late arriving at the Blue Bell but caught up with the rest at the first check.
It wasn't long before we lost trail but thanks to a tip off, I was the first to find it and suddenly found myself an FRB! The rest found me doing my Julie Andrews bit bringing the hills alive with the sound of music.
Of course it couldn't last and I soon found myself running behind not only the usual FRB's but a small herd of heifers. They got so excited that they completely missed the first beer stop and jumped a fence into the next field.
Before I could finish my beer, we were confronted by a grey haired lady (the farmer?) who I think was not too sure about our assurances that neither we nor the dogs had frightened her little darlings. They were just keen to join in the run! Judging by the looks she kept giving my Tetley's, she was either jealous or convinced that we were a pack of yobs!
The run to the next beer stop was a bit urban and very wet but by the time we restarted the rain had stopped so we had a pleasant hash back to the on inn, along the side of the Dallam estate where deer were spotted (yes they were) and along the side of the Gilpin estuary - although there were complaints that the tarmac lane was too long and straight!
Off His Trolley had been appointed temporary RA and after baptising Agent Orange, gave down downs to me for being an FRB, to Upperskirt for exciting him too much with her wobbly bottom in tight leggings and to Agent Orange, Atomic Caton and Bubbles for ignoring a fish hook - in fact Bubbles had already taken his hook before the circle!
Congratulations to those who made it despite having taken part in the Three Peaks run the day before!
