This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
At the start of this r*n there was more talk of would we get back in time for the football than how long was it or how dirty, muddy or steep. No More Cum surpassed himself by laying a trail that he must have done by helicopter in parts. I had joked about marathon training on the previous afternoons r*n but here was the training!
With a happy knack of using many blobs of flour when only a few were needed and hardly any when the way was obscure NMC made sure that at least one group (mine) got lost and had to backtrack several times. With an overall time for the last back (me) of 2.5 hours we were too late for normal food service for the second time in two days but fortunately pre-ordering of the food saved the day.
There was no circle at the end that I saw so I, for one, could not thank the hare directly. Some hashers left without food (including NMC) to watch the football. What football I saw was predictably disappointing but this r*n was certainly not.
