Well with no GM, no RA present it was down to Twisted to lead the way – well in reality she wasn’t an FRB that role was taken up by three young, athletic hashers who honoured with their presence. Excuses for non attendance included: moving home, producing off spring and living in the far distant lands of Manchester and Blackpool. I’d want to leave Manchester and Blackpool as often as I could.
The run began, no as usual with the circle as usual but with Twisted giving away her fresh produce, marrow and plumbs! The circle felt more like a classroom as teacher Madge reminded us of hash a markings, the green cross code and more , much of which I can’t recall as I found myself daydreaming as I did in my school days long, long gone by.
As the acting GM as I were trying to run - I think we looked more like old woman hobbling than hashers- she remembered that she hadn’t assigned a scribe so kindly ‘asked’ me to do the honour, with instructions of ‘no fancy stuff’ just a straight forward record of the run......so here it is:
We walked, talked, jogged and tried to run over: fields, on roads, up hills, under a railway (much to Bitters delight) and through woods on the outskirts of Kendal . The sun shone and thankfully the rain remained in the clouds.
An enjoyable hash – thanks Teacher Madge and Syd.
