Full MoonR*n 377 »

Ingleton

Having been released alone without my supper by Layby on a Monday night, that traditional night for Hashing, I trekked from Cumbria to Yorkshire for a well attended full moon run. Well attended in that only one other hasher was there when I arrived and another 2 crept out of the bar smelling of beer and claiming to have been there all day. That's how I got the scribing job! Then 3 late comers Lurched out of a car and set off after the start circle, so I didn't have to front run any more.

We were all worried!

Upper Skirt as hare and on her own without a map!

How many more counties were we going to visit that night before the moon came out?

We set off round the village and round and round and couldn't find any flour. That's because she used chalk. Eventually set off up the hill then down towards he town and it proved a repeat of an earlier Lurch run, so he followed it without seeing any flour.

Finally we set off east and ran through lanes and fields for several hours, not seeing any flour but seeing a strange car that appeared at every road crossing and every change of direction. Who was in the car? Who knows, but she must have used SatNav to find the route to set for us.

Finally we turned west and ran back towards the pub, only pausing for a split that made me as the only Wimp a front runner, so that I got lost in a housing estate and never found the pub again.

Nobody else got lost, not even the hare!

Good evening run and good pub - pity about the low turnout.

On On to the next one.
