This was our 3rd visit. We also visited on...
17th century coaching inn serving Robinson's real ales.
Well, the drive over to Garstang with Sir Tom Tom at the wheel was tense, to say the least, as the poor guy was obviously keen to attend the full moon r*n because he values his digits so much! Also, having sent out 'turn up or else' emails, he was chomping at the bit to see how many of his flock had taken note and done his bidding. Oh how pleased he must have felt to witness the hoards (well, the 14!) arriving in the car park.
So off we went, guided by the light of a fabulous full moon, traversing field and fountain, moor and mountain (well it is nearly xmas!), aka I can't actually remember which way we went - this is Upperskirt scribing! Suffice it to say that it was lovely, no rain, dry feet, and no one got lost! What more could we have asked for?
Arriving back at base, with 3.99 miles showing on my garmin, I was forced to r*n round the car park with our newest harriet, Hatty, until it registered 4 miles! It was all jolly good fun!!
The food was lovely, and everybody paid! (Who dares not, these days?!). We were treated to a private showing of Bitter's scar (and a couple of inches of bike parking space!).
Down downs were awarded to our 3 virgins, Hatty, Gary and Owen; Morticia for her usual crime; Gary for trail fouling and boasting about it; and the hares (Bitter downing it slowly because 'it's not usually nice beer for a down down'!)
Great trail, good fun, thanks hares, and nice to see Bitter up and about again.
