This was our 14th visit. We also visited on...
Starting a run just a few yards from one of the best pubs in the lakes is hard , really hard but with great reluctance we carried on up the bridle path heading upwards. It was not long before this effort started to become enjoyable and it became apparent that this run was going to be a good one. The run was set by the Septics during the afternoon shortly after completing the 'pitching of a tent in a hurricane challenge.'
For some reason this hash was something of posers' run with lots of effort being expended trying to make it appear- for the photographs- that we were making no effort at all.
Upperskrt, looking for all the world like posh spice was a particularly good poser whilst the rest of us looked like slugs gathered around flour.
We turned right through the wall and went across a short boggy section and on downhill to the road now several miles south of the pub. Turning left then right over the river bridge we turned for home taking in another new bit of pathway around a meadow and then back to familiar but glorious territory. Over the stone bridge hang a right and then on Inn. Once again a run which despite initial reluctance to start turned out to be brilliant - thanks to the Septics who returned to their tent to discover that despite manufacturers claims their tent was not hurricane proof
At the On Inn we managed to recruit a young lady estate agent to take photos of our vacant lot, bungalows and semi detached selves and spent the evening in total hilarity comparing customers huge fat arses.
