This was our 3rd visit. We also visited on...
Fiddler arrived by cycle just in time to witness the massed departure of hashers from the On-Inn. No surprise then that he (I) was appointed scribe. (That ploy of mine won't work again, then!). After some delay, but ably tipped off by Cotside & Bedside Manner, I located the hapless hashers who were already experiencing navigational probs. There were to be more of these and much notable shiggy, which made for some interesting slippery descents. Thunder Dick must have wondered what had kept us when we finally reached the beer stop somewhat behind schedule; he duly arranged for some jammy dodgers to be seemimgly airlifted over Hutton Roof Crags to within striking distance of the On-Inn - a shrewd move.
On the run-in, Sir Tom Tom was unlucky to fall for the misleading advice of Baldrick on how to avoid deep mud, only to plough straight into its midst.
A good hash, if somewhat long. A highlight was the magnificent limestone pavement on the Crags. Full marks to Kings Arms, Burton for producing our lunches efficiently and tastily even though we were an hour late.
