This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
Sorry for the delay.
I must have been Moon Struck by actually seeing a bright light in the sky above Damascus (sorry Morecambe) that is never seen on Full Moon Runs.
Or maybe confused by coloured lights in the sky all over town and all over peoples houses that are never seen at other times of the year.
Or confused by the offer by the hare to do the write up, which is aginst the non-existant hashing rules.
Arriving late and looking for the Former Shrimp also confused me so I missed the opening circle, so had no idea where to go. (You may say that is not unusual) I brought 2 torches in case of battery failure but the street lights of Morecambe never failed and I didn't use any of them.
I even managed to front run for a while as Sir Tom Tom's instructions about volume of flour were followed to the letter.
Which gives me no excuse at all for missing a turn in the final quarter of the run and following a group of hounds who seemed to know the way home past several brightly lit supermarkets but with no flour at all showing the way in.
Call in your search parties. We are already inside the Toby Carvery carving up the most enormous slices of meat and not still searching for the trail.
An excellent run through the streets. Maybe we'll be able to use our torches next time!
On On to 2014.
