LANCASTER PUB OF THE YEAR 2014
If you look at photo number 1 for this run you will see that we prayed at the start that this would not be one of Sir Tom Tom's modular hashes, because even though it was a beautiful crisp winter's day, several of us had other things to do and did not want to be out until dark.
So after a relatively long lecture from the Hare, we set off up hill and down dale, over frozen ground on what turned out to be the most convoluted route to the Black Bull - even more so for the Rambos. It took so long to get to the beer stop that several people had to leave us at this point.
The next section did have a Rambo split but I don't think anyone did it, but the remaining hashers arrived relatively close together at the On Inn.
Several down downs were given but I have slept since then and cannot remember to whom or for why. I do remember that we adjourned for lunch into The Station Hotel - voted Lancaster Guardian Pub of the Year 2014 - where not only did we have food but also crackers, paper hats and silly jokes!
