Hash WeekendR*n 548 »

Hesket Newmarket

So, before we set off for the second r*n of the weekend, we get a message from Lurch and Morticia to say they'll be late (No s..t!), but they weren't!
So off we went, starting with the bit of trail that was accidentally found on the previous evening! We were guided through some treacherous undergrowth by Antiseptic, but after that it was lovely!
We reached a river where Cyberseptic appeared to be simultaneously doing his laundry and bathing, as he was lying in the water (as was Lurch) with his clothes and fabric softener (aka flour in fabric softener bottle) on the river bank. As you do!
Following this cooling down (they could've built a bridge for us!) we carried on. Lost at one point, No more cum eventually shouted 'on on' and we gratefully r*n to him, only to discover that the 'flour' was bird poo! Two beer stops and several miles later we came to the final split where Baldbrick and Bubbles wimped out, and the rest of us got lost. We eventually found the road and gladly started on the return trip, apart from Dormouse who insisted on going back to find out where we should have been (Hardcore!)
The rain stayed away for our bbq, which was good for Speedbump as she'd carried two planks of wood with her for miles, to use as a bbq stand!
Down downs were given to No more cum for being unsociable (we must've smelled coz he sat away from us, although he said it was the smoke!); myself for fowling the trail with no decorum; Baldbrick for being an excellent beer master; both US and BB for using trays, not camping and not having matching plates!
The rain eventually came, and credit due for Antiseptic who managed to sit out the longest, wrapped in half of her wardrobe! Then shelter was found in the on inn. Fab day. On on to tomorrow...
