Although I did volunteer to do this write up, even though I had been at the back for most of the run (as usual), in my rush to get everything done before going on holiday I completely forgot.

Anyway, I remember that it was a beautiful autumn morning and as the route took us along the Lune Valley and then up towards Caton Moor before heading back down to the On Inn via Forge Mill, it seem a shame not to take one's time in order to appreciate more fully the countryside in all it's autumn glory.

It was also notable that the wimps got back to the On Inn before any of the rambos. It seems that they had ignored an instruction to turn round and go back down the hill they had just run up and decided instead to continue and run a route of their own choosing. However, local knowledge ensured that they eventually got back on trail and arrived at the On Inn about 15 minutes after the wimps.

I can't remember all the down downs although I do know that Fiddler on the Hoof got one for being late to meet the other Hare to start setting the route and also he embarrassed his daughter by bringing her into the circle whilst we sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

I have also learned since that Dormouse and Speedbump tried to leave the On Inn without paying for their lunches (again!) but were caught before they could unlock their bikes!
