This was our 4th visit. We also visited on...
The day dawned bright and sunny after a good time at our house the night before!
Highway, the hare, laid a great trail which was very inclusive and meant that instead of being at the back of the pack (whilst recovering from injury) I often ended up in the middle!
We set off across a field, past Winster House, up through the woods, across the heath to a beer stop. After that we wandered through more woods, across more heath, along some trails and back to the On Inn via the road. The rambos went off on their trail, no idea what they got up to but they kept coming up behind, overtaking and then appearing from behind again! The wimps were just in sight most of the time but what they did is a mystery too!
All in all a great trail with some fantastic views.
I also took loads of photos and decided to have a competition.
There are photos of some of the flowers I saw on trail and now I’m putting you to the test. How many of the 20 can you identify? Some of the photos are not brilliant because of the sunshine but the leaves will help with the identification. If no one responds I’ll drink the prize!
