Baldbrick here - many months on from the said hash, distinct feeling of having been set up - but what the heck!
Meeting point on a layby - no relation to Highway, the A590 has many laybys and the hares Speedbump and Dormouse chose one that I didn't know - so I went to the wrong one, and only at the last moment decided we were in the wrong layby, we found the right one in the nick of time.
Cant remember exactly who was there but the pack set off up the lane and straight away encountered a cock up - a check with one option - going through a steep wood, "On On" the checker called, but the hares started arguing as to whether this was the right way or not, turned out not - this was the In trail!
So on up the lane we went - up onto the moor. Did I mention - this was a typical Speedbump and Dormouse hash - raining and very wet underfoot? well up to the knees actually! it was a long run over a very 'moist moor'. Smallbush, Twiglet and Biscuit bandit were inadequately dressed and thereby freezing. Morticia fell in a stream - I offered the kiss of life - but she refused - which took me back because she's never refused before! I must be losing my touch.
At the end of the hash we came back to the carpark down a steep hill - that I'm very glad we didn't have to go up!
if I have missed out anyone or any events that took place that day -I accept no responsibility - it's a bloody miracle that I remember anything about it whatsoever!
Balders On On!
