This was our 1st visit. We also visited on...
With full moon once again staying well out of sight in the Lancaster sky, this r*n could be entitled The darkest of hours. And in the same vein as the recent Movie, whilst Churchill offered his country Blood, Sweat and Tears. The energetic hares offered only Mud, Wet and Beers. And for once I’m told, more mud for the wimpy walkers than the Rambo runners! 2 first timers showed up to r*n the Rambo trail, to my delight as they, along with their inviter woody two shoes - all brought torches. My own stubbornness to not bring a torch, on account of the full moon, once again backfired!
So here we go then with some poetic justice to two fabulous trails kindly laid by the hares:
Off we all went to the Hash Blue moon,
Met office warned it would p#ss down soon,
There were virgins aplenty,
And wimps on a stroll,
And a Big Blue Moon that had gone AWOL,
With a trail that was shiggy and wet,
The Hasher’s and Harrietts did not fret,
Die-hards and try-hards,
Lycra and sweaters,
When it comes to dedication
Hasher’s can’t be bettered,
With a weather forecast that failed to be true,
Great pub food and Robinson’s brew,
A jolly good Hash we all spent,
It’s just a pity the FULL MOON was absent!!!
