This was our 9th visit. We also visited on...
Totally forgot I’d been so daft as to volunteer to write up this gem of a run up and down our beautiful valley.
Probably something to do with the run being only 12hours after we had arrived home from a fortnight of hashing in the home of hashing, celebrating Mother Hash's 80th birthday in Kuala Lumpur in the company of Pick Me Up, HashDrunk and Tightarse. Simple and Bushy Brows had been spotted amongst the throng too.
We had swapped hot sweaty jungle for blue skies and open fields, swapped ice cold beer for fruit shoots and the best beer that Baldbrick could find, brown paper packages of Nasi goreng for chocolate digestives and more than 2000 mental hashers for our select few of elite Rambos and Wimps.
It was good to have the feeling of knowing exactly where we were and exactly where we would be going, but having said that Highway of course managed to lose his way, Bubbles managed to short cut and we all managed to have an extended beer stop with one of the best views in the North West of Englandshire.
There were down downs on the old platform of the old Halton Railway Station - but I have no recollection of who they were and whether they deserved them or not. A Sunday Roast drowning in Gravy was served up at the Greyhound and we wended our way back to the unpacking and washing.
There's no place like Home.
