All the usual wimps wimped out, and even Storm Ciara was hardly a rambo. She ranted and raved all night and then went to sleep just in time for LVH3 to set out for a cunningly set live hared and back checked trail set by the loopy hash setters that are the Septics.

There were hashers running down the middle of the A683 trying to keep their feet dry and others determined not to fall to save vulnerable limbs - only Hard Astern hit the deck but without injury. Some clever loops kept us always within shouting distance of the On-Inn whilst also giving us some fine, safe, views of the River, masquerading as a Lake.  With every check being treated as a Fish Hook to ensure that even Dormouse didn't get lost, we all completed the 7km to get back to find our illustrious GM enjoying a beer in the sun, having just managed to miss the start of the run by taking an hour to travel the flooded roads from Bentham to Caton. (Bet he hid behind the hedge, waiting for us to leave!)

We didnt quite need all the gallons of soup lovingly prepared for us, but it was tasty, warming and very welcome. Thanks so much for providing the perfect Plan B with a chatty social for the uber wimps Belle, Upperskirt and Bubbles to join us.

Im sure that Crosby Ravensworth will still be there for our delight and delectation at a future date.
