A goodly crowd gathered to the sound of church bells for what turned out to be an excellent hash in good weather. Smart arse, Upperskirt, got a down down at the start for knowing why it was called "second paradise" and Where's The Soap arrived wearing new shoes so paid the price for that.
The hares then went on (and on) trying to explain the markings before setting the rambos off first and then the wimps - in the opposite direction!
The wimps soon got so delayed trying to decide whether or not Bitter had misunderstood a T mark on the lane or whether there was any flour in the field by the circle with 3 blobs, that it was not long before the rambos caught and passed us.
However, the wimps were the first at the beer stop so we had ample time for a refreshment break. The hares then gave another bit of confusing advice re gates and whether or not we should go through but when we got there it was well marked as was the rest of the trail.
For once, the wimps got back before the rambos who had actually been sorting out dead or nearly dead sheep en route. Papparassi had even tried to find our who owned the sheep, so only just got back in time for a down down for the "sheep herders" . Other down downs were given to the hares and to Belle for doing cartwheels on the hash.
So for me it was one of the best hashes I have done for a while since I was not always at the back and didn't keep others waiting to get away for whatever other pleasures the day was going to bring.
Even better, The Wheatsheaf, provided 9 of us with a private room and and excellent lunch!
