Milnthorpe - AGPU

After a bit of synchronised parking in various car parks around Milnthorpe and a quick game of how many people can use the public toilets for one 20p we gathered together. Visitor Mary Poppins was greeted enthusiastically while absentee regulars myself and Speedbump were greeted sarcastically- but what else should we expect.

Chapped Lips insistence that we kept to the right as we entered the deer park meant we knew that the in trail must come through there too. Oh and did they mention that there’d be a fish hook?

Off through the town to the aforementioned Deer Park, we kept to the right and soon found ourselves running along to Sandside. Oh and did I mention there was a fish hook? Cyberseptic didn’t fancy a swim though. Must be getting a bit sensible in his old age.

Apparently there was some long checking done, but not by me, and we made our way up to Storth. Oh and did I mention there was another fish hook?

Past some police action, nothing to do with us your honour, and happily down a long hill. Oh and did I mention there was a fish hook?

Eventually the promised Split appeared. Yours truly had been gassing and most of the Rambos had already made their exit in the right direction when Bedtime Stories and I made a late decision with the eager Virgin Jonah in tow. After a while his eagerness melted away and I was encouraged to catch up with the others. They’d be fine! Famous last words. I trotted on, calling on-on appropriately, up the rocky steps but not the Fairy Steps and turned  left following the well marked trail, being short has its advantages as I ducked below the low hanging branches. As a solitary hasher I was surprised to hear a Major Twit response to one of my calls and Lurch and MT appeared behind me. They’d missed the trail certain they knew where they were. Sadly Bedtime Stories and Jonah had missed the trail and not known where they were.

The sound and sight of the Beerstop was welcome, where a phone call summoned Spare Rib and Spare Bed to rescue the rest of the family from the pub in Beetham.

Suitably fed and ‘watered’ the pack set off en route for the Deer Park, oh and did I mention there was a fish hook?

Back to Milnthorpe for a bit more synchronised car manoeuvres, a circle for hares, sinners and visitors alike. The buffet in the pub was calling, a veritable carbohydrate feast to compensate for all the fish hooks some of us had done.

After the food was consumed the business commenced.
And so the new mismanagement was duly dobbed in and LVH3 lives to hash another year. No funeral or coronation, but Long Live GM Dornouse!
