A surprisingly large number of hardcore runners dropped into our near lunar-less Lune full moon hash. I missed the instructions being just on time rather than early, so got landed with writing this official record of the proceedings of the 815th run of LVH3.
Why WTS laid a trail is a mystery as he explained in forensic detail the route that we were to proceed along.
Anyhow we went from car park to cycle track under the canal aqueduct and headed towards Lancaster central. Turns out that a combo of too many Christmas meals plus an early tea (that's dinner to posh southerners) are not condusive to comfortable running.
Flour was copious and looked in pristine condition - no vandalisation by Lancaster youth in evidence (compare with Silverdale OAPs who wage unceasing war on our trails thereabouts).
Under the A6 and onto Millennium bridge the route signposted by a remarkable hash notice describing what way to go. So remarkable that FB failed to see it and was duly punished in the circle. (Photo on web site.)
Unable to catch up or even see the heels of our speedy visitors, yet unready to become wimps, several of us agreed that we were unter rambos (unter being german for under). We jogged slowly up to the railway viaduct and crossed over into Ryelands Park then back under Skerton Bridge and headed back on the opposite side of the river. Apparently RA was brought up around these parts and was sounding quite nostalgic.
Ridiculously I got a down-down for running competitively when there were clearly many more competitive visitors who received no down-downs.
As we waited for the wimps to return, the moon made a welcome guest appearance. Photographic evidence on web site, or maybe that was just the street lighting.
