Whilst waiting in the lay by for FCS & LP to eventually arrive (late) everyone else was putting more clothes on to keep warm, except FOTH who was already wearing everything he had due to SF abandoning him and driving off in the car to Settle. WTS was eager to give us in depth instructions of his route as he'd laid the course over three days and was worried the sheep may have eaten it. He needn't have worried as he'd done a good job of strategically placing the flour blobs or the sheep weren't hungry !!..
LP and myself ran at a steady pace on the Rambo route and before you knew it we'd got to the beer stop with no sightings of the Wimps, shortly after we gave up waiting for them and carried on as we were going cold. Passing through a few stiles and a stiff climb got us to the top of the hill in no time at all. The trail took us along some pretty grassy paths, a cave and along the edge of some rocks which LP couldn't resist having a go at bouldering. Soon we were off the fell and back up the road to the cars.
Looking at the photos I'm assuming the Wimps made it back ok. Sorry I couldn't hang around to see you all as I needed to return home due to visitors arriving mid afternoon.
As only two Rambos could make it I've left the route description vague in case WTS wants to re-use the trail again in the near future, lets hope he does as it's a fantastic area and was a great hash.
