This was our 3rd visit. We also visited on...
Rishi Sunak's anouncement of a new general election was made memorable by torrential rain dousing his £3,000 suit. Even more fascinating was his trademark hair seemingly repelling the rain water with ease and remaining as bouffant as ever. Perhaps the hair is unreal and he takes it off in the privacy of his own home...
Maybe I can work out what he uses for repelling water from his hair. I want some to apply to my allegedly waterproof clothing before I go on the next hash set by hares FIrst Class Stomp and Large Package. Maybe Bedtime Stories' dog had been treated as she appeared unwaterlogged at the end.
Admittedly it wasn't raining as the hares gave us clues at the pre-run circle including advice on coexisting with donkeys. GIven Upper Skirt's recent horsey misadventures, it was just as well that we never saw any sign of these equine creatures during our hash.
The rambos almost immediately separated from the wimps, heading past a a caravan site tested by Big Dibber and Motor Gnome and deemed OK - so they had prior knowledge of paths in the area. I've not been on some of these paths before and very scenic they were too, that is until our heads bowed down under the weight of the first of many heavy downpours.
An ample sized bus shelter at Burneside served as meeting point for Rambos and Wimps and we watched the fat raindrops bouncing off the ground. We dallied as long as possible before the return leg could be put off no longer.
Morticia refused to circle in the rain. So we went to the pub instead. Meanwhile White Noise and Off His Trolley decided on an extension to their walk along the busy main road. Thanks for the sympathy, Baldbrick, and no I hadn't pissed myself: it was the rain wot did it to my sodden shirt.
Thanks though hares. Good route!. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
