This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
Outside the Park Hotel in Lancaster, a bunch of 9 keen hashers plus the two hares eagerly awaited their starting orders on frosty night with temperatures plummetting - all except Cyberseptic who temperature was rising! He formed the circle, made his excuses and left! The Accused was also spotted in the circle, but we didn't see him running, which of course he does - often! We were informed to check out the on-on which eventually lead us up hill to St Martins college. We did a few laps of the college which raised laughs from the students as several hashers chose to wear their Santa hats - maybe they hadn't started on their Christmas spirit! When we emerged from the college the trail took us through Williamsons Park, good idea to stick together and avoid any weirdos. Up more hills and out of the park to a Rambo / Wimp split. Four of us headed off towards the prison farm and the Ridge estate as acting rambos, leaving the wimps to decide if they were really wimps at all. In true rambo style we raced down hill and onto the canal path, at this point we realised why we had brought our torches. Out of the darkness (so where was the moon tonight?) we ran past the White Cross and up another very dark path. We could hear shouts of "on on" so we assumed the wimps were up ahead. They must have given it their all because we didn't catch up to them until arrived at the On Inn! Short and sweet but an excellent run all the same - well done hares!
