This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
Cask ales from Thwaites, Hawkshead and Timothy Taylor.
Arrived at Booth's car park under a bright full moon, though this soon clouded over. A welcome re-visit from Sideshow Bob. After we figured out that there was no charge for parking after 6:00 the modest gathering formed a cluster (circle would be flattery) and brief instructions were given by the Hares. I also forgot to appoint scribe, hence my poor attempt at this recall. Seconds after the ONON, Drunk and Pick Me Up roared up in the drunkmobile, very apologetic, so we had an ONON revival.
In brief, the run was enjoyable, dry, mostly on tarmac, which was just as well because it was quite long. Some delay in the churchyard while the nameless one chickened out of checking a route that led down some steps in the dark and returned before spotting flour on route, which left us perplexed for a while. Still, she got her just desserts in her new name later. In the latter stages few of us were enthusiastic enough to want to be bothered with the multitude of laborinthine checks through the streets of KL. Despite this, a great run for an evening with good checks. Plenty of scope for further runs around the area. The views would have been spectacular had it not been dark!
Can't remember all the down-downs - but they included Hash Drunk, PMU and the Duke for being late, various hashers (in fact most) for being blind, missing trail, not crossing out checks and generally being completely hash-like whilst stumbling around in the dark. Naming for Wendy (Upper Skirt) by assistant RA Forever Blowing - why because apparently it sounds like Ormskirk if you say it fast enough (where said hasher originates) and well it made us all laugh. Retired to The Sun and a welcome pint.
