Recipe for Spring Tebay Hash

Ingredients:

1 hare
21 assorted hounds, to include:

  • A mixture of keen runners
  • A few wimps
  • Couple of babysitters
  • 1 baby
  • 1 visitor
  • 1 dog
  • Sunshine
  • Suncream (optional)
  • Views
  • A little flour
  • Beer
  • Biscuits

Method:

  1. Mix all hounds in a circle
  2. Talk to them at length about ingredients used in preparation of hash
  3. Leave to stand while next step is checked
  4. Proceed to mix in an element of uncertainty, views and quantities of fresh lamb
  5. Leave to roast under a moderate heat, until mixture has turned runny
  6. Stop and add more beer when required
  7. Return to circle where more beer maybe added.
  8. Leave to stand until ready to eat

Variations:

  • Fish hooks may help the mix to bind together.
  • Add more flour where necessary

The icing on the cake:

Our most junior hasher had her first christening - welcome Cotside Manner, may you endure (sorry enjoy!) many more hashes.
