This was our 14th visit. We also visited on...
It may have been the Snow Moon but there was no snow and no moon in evidence! A select band of intrepid hashers gathered at the Greyhound in Halton for the second full moon r*n of 2025, eager in anticipation. We started at the earlier than usual time of 6pm in order to meet the pub's stipulation of being ready to eat at 7.30.
After a check by the Penny Bridge we all headed East, following the river. There were many twists and turns, and many checks. All the checks were checked out by the two Rambos, who tried in vain to get away from the Wimps.
Large Package was lucky in finding the correct route several times but lost any advantage by having to return to the check mark to kick it out. He then had to chase after the other Rambo to set him back on track each time.
Finally the W & R split was reached, shortly after which the Rambos lost trail and split up to find it. Large Package lost sight of the other Rambo and therefore assumed that he (the other Rambo) had found trail and gone on ahead, not waiting to show LP the way. LP then picked up trail and successfully followed it back to the On Inn, where everyone else was already there. The other Rambo had not, as it turned out, found trail at all and had taken a short cut back by himself. LP therefore forgave him for not marking the final Rambo check, since he hadn't even gone there. All the same, LP has decided not to name the other Rambo to avoid potential embarrassment on his part.
All then rushed into the On Inn to make sure we were in good time to be served food. There then followed a very long wait after which we had a decent meal, long after 7.30!
An excellent Full Moon hash, very enjoyable route with plenty checks to keep us on our toes. Thanks Hares!
