This was our 4th visit. We also visited on...
R*n 617 saw the intrepid travellers return from their jollies, which considering they didn't get to bed until 1am was a pretty good show.
This was a local r*n for Twiglet and I which is always a bonus when you can have an extra 30 minutes in bed on a Sunday morning! The weather was pretty damn perfect for a little trot around Lancaster. We met at Lancaster Brewery and headed off towards Williamson Park following the outskirts of Fenham Carr, even though I'm a local lass we soon came to an area I wasn't familiar with, Standen Gate. Its a posh part of town hence why I'd never been! Baldbrick had set a great course, quiet and mostly off road which given we were so close to the city centre was quite impressive.
It was great to see Bubbles back after his cracked rib and he stayed upright thankfully! We had 13 hounds including two visitors , Hippy Hunter and Toy Boy. The route took us past Lancaster Farms Prison and on to the canal. We were spoilt with two beer stops, I think the holiday makers thought they were still on holiday!
We did have a misdemeanours along the way including Twiglet who thought he could get away with not doing all the fish hooks and Forever Blowing for not wanting to rattle....I'm completely with her! All in all another grand day out. Thanks Baldbrick, a route I will be doing again.
