Cuddy Hill

The morning saw an ill Bitter dragging himself round the course helping lay the trail. He went home while the r*nners went for a walk & returned for the meal afterwards. It was suggested that Twisted would put her mobile on speakerphone so Bitter could deliver the pre-outing brief to the masses. As there were four participants, this wasn't necessary.

Twisted introduced the route as a tour of the dumps of the local area, the first being within the first 10 yards. Lurch marked this as 9.5 out of 10 due to the size, amount of litter & burnt remains. We proceeded at an agreeable pace until the first check. We looked in all three possible directions then at Twisted who pointed us in the right direction. At each check, the same procedure followed - even at B&T's first ever closed check - what a waste of time laying the two false trails!

Near the end of the run was a wooden bungalow painted red, with a red-brick chimney & a red car like the Septic's parked outside (I added pointlessly). Upperskirt pointed out how odd & out of place the brick chimney looked. It wouldn't've last so long if it was a wooden chimney, would it Skirt?

Quote of the r*n came from Morticia, who said 'The reason why I'm always near the back is that I can never close the gates & need a strong man to give me a hand'.

On approaching the pub, we found Bitter wandering along the road towards us.

The circle was forgone yet Lurch, Morticia & Upperskirt would've got DDs for fouling the trail at various points.

In the pub a quiz was enjoyed by all. Upperskirt was awarded the prize for last place, a can of 2% lager with boomerang characteristics.

Morticia marked Lurch's paper '40%, see me!'.

All of us enjoyed the r*n amp; drink/meal.

Best wishes 2008 to hashers & 'normal' people.
