This was our 2nd visit. We also visited on...
The trails and tribulations of a 3½” floppy are always hard to write about but here we go. After fending off the landlady of the Highway man pub we proceeded on our way, what a start to a hash.
With the weather being as beautiful as it could, we made our way up a Woodmans lane, with many cattle grids affecting the four legged friends among us. As we made our way towards the Rambo and Wimps split we came across some friendly Roman Chariots. The Rambos split took us through a farm yard disturbing all the cattle as we made our way through the countryside, observing some lovely View Points!
As the Rambo split came to an end we met up with the rest of the rabble on a bridge near a house which used to be a school for the children of clergymen. The story went that this is where the famous Bronte sisters went to school for a short time, and also is the school which Jane Eyre features.
Following this history lesson from our tour guide Cyberseptic, we ran along the river. As we headed back towards the Highwayman we found ourselves in fields full of sheep and cows which led to the greatest sight in Lune Valley Hashers folklore, the great spotted running Baldbrick. This was a sight I never thought I would gaze upon, I had to check for those mystical flying pigs at the same time.
Finally upon finishing the hash, the great finale that had been in the waiting was the naming ceremony and this is where the tribulations come into our story. Naming two new hashers 3½’” Floppy and Cums Occasionally. Down downs for 3½’’ Floppy and Large Package for doing fish hooks correctly.
Overall a great hash with great weather and great company!
