The Royal offers excellent dining facilities with an extensive main menu and a daily specials board, a large selection of cask ales and wines are available to compliment your meal.

The traditional inn also boasts a large beer garden by the canal, and a sports bar showing all the latest sporting events.

Bolton-le-Sands - PRIME HASH

Controller's Log.

We gathered at BLS Community Centre, circled up with the Hares promising adventure with an early Wimp – Rambo split. We headed across fields towards the woods climbing up Mount Pleasant Lane in a mixture of sunshine and showers looking for clues along the way. Mandy B made us laugh checking to see if she had lost her virgin on route!!

As we climbed through the woods we were greeted with spectacular views across Morecambe Bay. Making our way along the canal was a pure delight, winding our way down Thwaite Brow Lane making our way to the shore to be greeted by a welcome beer stop – only to find The Rambo’s seated on the benches whilst The Wimps were still standing.

Then ON-ON again along the beautiful shoreline through the back of Red Bank Farm stopping at the view point where the Praying Shell Sculpture is in memory of the 23 Chinese Cockle Pickers who died in 2004. Gathering pace across the fields trying to find which sheep had been floured, winding through the beautiful leafy lanes, then back to Main Road and up to the canal now on the last leg home to the Community centre in the rain.

No circle needed straight to the Royal Hotel for some excellent food and banter. When Mandy B was asked if she thought it was long enough and hard enough her reply was “Depends How drunk I am!” A fabulous Evening Hash, well done to Fit Fanny and H.M.S. Twiggy.
