After the first mile or so a bit of confusion set in as we came across a mark saying that the On Inn was back the way we had come! Assuming we weren't meant to turn back at that point we followed arrows in all directions  but eventually most of us slipped and crashed through the woods (my wrestler's roll in the shiggy was observed by many) to the Beer Stop somewhere round the back of the uni. More confusion happened after this refreshing stop as Antiseptic managed to get on the Rambos split when she wanted to be on the Wimps. Because I took too long drinking beer I set off alone and somehow got on the wimps split instead of the intended Rambos. After a while I realised I had lost trail and turned on back to find it. This happened twice more (following trail alone in the wet is iffy). Eventually, seeing markings from time to time, I followed the out trail back in. I overtook the wimps and arrived back at the On Inn apparently having done a longer trail than Antiseptic who, along with many of the other Rambos, had also missed the third split.

More confusion set in when Moticia and STT were found in the pub (they had got lost and made up their own trail) after the search party (OHT) was sent off to find them on trail, so we called the search off.

This may sound like chaos but we all got back safely. As the weather was not good the circle was deferred and the warmth and welcome from the pub beckoned.
