This was our 10th visit. We also visited on...
Our ex GM clearly commands much influence as my merely hinting that there was no need to hurry to Roeburndale for our 141st run was a crime worthy of me writing this fiction. As it happens, 15 minutes was plenty of time to go from Bubbles house to our pleasant grassy starting point.
The run was billed as longer than normal due to it being a Sunday run and a full moon run: maybe not but there was a ball breaking Rambo split immediately. Thunderdick was whinging about having a virus but it didn't seem to slow him down too much - he's the FRB to beat now. We Rambos headed in an up and down loop to rejoin the river and head down into the depths of the wooded valley.
It was quite a while before we came across the somewhat muddy looking Wimps.
Somewhere in the bluebell woodlands I mis-judged a low branch and poured blood from my scalp. We crossed the Roeburn at least 4 times. Mainly we used bridges, but the short-cutters traded wet feet for a shorter run.
Another challenging climb past the eco warriors to the top road and a welcome refreshment stop. Harry (the dog) tried strangling himself on the barbed wire, and ended up marginally balder.
A dash down the road for our final river crossing, a steep but thankfully road climb and back to a circle in glorious weather. Down-downs therefore much more appreciated than in the cold depths of winter. Our RA (Anti-septic) grew bored with the circle and we convoyed back over the multiple gated road into Littledale.
A super run, good company, roll-on the spring and more outings!
