Crook O'Lune - 50 Weekend

Thanks to Bubbles & Forever Blowing for the Sunday run. Being Remembrance Sunday we observed a two-minute silence after Cum Yak Yak had told us that her Grandfather had shot all the soldiers dead single-handed.

The run was another very pleasant one mostly along the banks of the Lune and again included lots of shiggy. The Run ended in Bubbles and Forever Blowing's garden where beer was plentiful and many Down Down's were administered including some naming ceremonies:

  • "Fucking Thick Geordie" - For missing Darlington train station where a lift was waiting for him and continuing on to York.
  • "Colon the Shyterian" - After having bits removed

Also adding to the fun was the "Not boiled Egg" competition, where in return for cracking a raw egg over your head you won a bottle of whisky.

Eventually most of the beer was drunk and most of the visiting Hashers said their goodbye's and made their way home, although those who stayed enjoyed a great band at the John O'Gaunt on Sunday evening.

All in All this was a great Weekend which hopefully was enjoyed by everyone and a big thank you to all who attended especially those who travelled from far away places including Isle of Wight & Isle of Man, Edinburgh & Yorkshire.

Remember that photos of the weekend will be available on CD Rom.
