Cross Border Long Legs R*n
A very cold day for r*n number 289 but the weather was bright and clear as our Super Hero Hashers assembled at Tunstall village hall. A reasonable turn out given the time of year but we needed our usual super FRBs to complete the front checks - where was Super Man Lurch or Captain Fantastic Thunderdick when we needed them (presumably busy saving the world of course)? Instead the checking would fall to Dastardly Dormouse, Cat woman Major Twit (aka one of the Hares) and The Joker aka Twisted.
Cat woman dispensed instructions in the squarcle but as usual, we were impatient to get the miles under our belt, so off we set without waiting for hare number 2. We met him on the out r*n (not a happy bunny as we hadn't waited) but no-one stops the super heroes!
After some lanes and fields, we were faced with a f, f, f**kin fishhook which we all duly obeyed and met up with the knitting circle for a quick chat - Lady Penelope, Joe 90, Lara Croft and Wonder Woman (you can guess who is who here), before we carried on to conquer the world!
Following an excellent beerstop (which replenished the heroes empty tanks with F.A.B biscuits and beer), we set off for more off roading (including the crossing of the biggest field in the world). The joker was taken aback when Spider Man (aka Bitter) was seen as an FRB and had taken up the challenge of not being called a wimp anymore)! My hero (at last)!
On and on the Super Heroes sped across the universe conquering the shiggy and defeating the checks (although some of the trail would have benefitted from some flour at times), till they found themselves back at HQ after going round the world in less than 2 hours!
DDs were awarded to hash crashers, white legs on show, FRBs, Worlds best Trumpeter and the naming of Sir Tom Tom (got lost/bought sat nav/teacher).
All in all, an excellent Grand Day Out for the Super Hashers (well done Hares)!
On On
(and Happy Super New Year to our Super Heroes)!
